I haven't been very faithful to my blog.  I am doing well.  I've passed the two year mark of having chemo.  This was with a prognosis of 6 months to a year to live.  Thanks chemo.  Family and friends have been a blessing as is each and every day.
Found out Halloween day that our family cancer is NOT GENETIC.  This leaves lifestyle and environmental.  I have been obese since after my son's birth 37 years ago.  Check out your BMI, you'll be shocked to see how easy it is to fall into the obese category.  Obesity produces more estrogen in women and more hormones which is like candy to cancer.  BUT I also had a father who smoked my entire childhood.  Our housing development was built on a farm that may have used pestisides.  My dad used all manner of pestisides to control the bug population from getting in the house.  Our water came from open water reservoirs.  They test for coloform (bacteria) levels but did they test for carcinogens?  Our house was remodeled to fit seven children in a 3 room ranch house.  Was there Radon in our basement where our rooms were? 
Sis, Sherry, has had Uterine cancer and Breast cancer.  My Sis, Joan, has had a lumpectomy with precancerous cells.
And I have recurrent Uterine and Cervical cancer that has metastisized to my liver, lymph nodes and colon.
Our cousin who lived up the street from us has also had cancer.  Was it the neighborhood???  This we will never know.
The great thing about learning it is not genetic is the thought my grandchildren are safer.  Genetic counselors still recommended that our family be checked for cancer 10 years before the recommended age.  That info has been passed on to all the relatives.  We found out that what presents as Uterine cancer in women, presents as colon cancer in men.  So get those colonoscopies people.

I didn't have chemo on Wednesday, my blood count was too low.  It's supposed to be between 3.0 and above to have chemo.  Mine was less than 1.0.  This is because we went away for Labor Day and I did not have my Neupogen shots to build up my white blood cells.  I saw my oncologist though and he sent me for an MRI to make sure my back pain was not more cancer.  It turned out to be Lower Lumbar Degenerative Arthritis.  PHEW!  Not more cancer.  Then the results of my ultrasound on my right breast was clear.  Another PHEW!  Didn't need breast cancer too.  I have enough cancer . . . thank you very much.
We are leaving tomorrow for Tennessee and I have to admit I am very tired.  So tired I can't even show any excitement although I've been looking forward to it for a month.  I did get all our laundry done for it.
I even took a nap this afternoon, but it didn't help.  While I was napping my little Chloe was eating the five dollar bill I had put on my nightstand.  I found it in my pocket while sorting the laundry.  She is getting to be quite an expensive little dog.  Last week she ate 13 dollars.  3 dollars and a ten.  Plus she chewed up Bill's American Express card so it had to be replaced.  He called me in the morning from work and told me when he took her out that morning he told her he better see a $13 shit out of her.  I laughed all day when I thought about it.  It still makes me smile.  Today she went to stay with Aunt Laurie while we are out of town.  She loves Aunt Laurie and her dog Shadow.  She loves how much riding in a car she gets to do with Aunt Laurie.  It's nice to know she is in such good hands.
Bill works so hard, I worry about him.  He expects so much out of himself.  When I tell him to hire help he takes it as an insult and his pride kicks in and he insists on doing it himself.  The pressure on him is awful.  He is still working so we have the medical insurance when he could have retired two years ago.  He is such a rock for me.  He has no qualms about calling me before he comes home from work to see if I'm up to making dinner.  Then he asks me what I feel like eating and goes to pick it up.  Sometimes he makes dinner at home.  He calls me every day from work at exactly 2:00 p.m. to ask me how I'm feeling.  He rubs my back when it hurts and tells me to take my pills, put on sweaters, brings me blankets.  He reminds me to sit and rest or go in out of the heat into the air conditioning.  Or stop doing too much.  He is a gem.  I don't know what I would do without him.

It's been a busy summer.  Mike my helper in the yard has been back to weed and clear out some forsithia that has gotten overgrown.  Selena, my house helper has come back to vacumm and clean the floors.  She also cleaned the shower.  Added to her list of duties this last week was dogsitter.  She took excellent care of Chloe.  My sister, Aunt Sherry, also cared for Chloe by staying here Sat, Sun and Monday.  Yay Aunt Sherry.  Next week, Aunt Laurie will be taking care of Chloe and Chloe will have her companion Shadow to keep her company.  Aunt Laurie taught Chloe how to get in and out of the car for rides.
Chloe was so excited to see us.  She has no idea that we are leaving her again.  Mike, Amy and the Grandkids came to see us in July and we went there for Labor Day.  I've got almost 200 pictures and videos of the grandkids.  They're all I have until I get to see them again, probably Thanksgiving.  I'll try to take time to download the pictures so I can post them.
Tomorrow is chemo and then an ultrasound on my right breast.  Apparently, my mammogram last week showed something so they need to take a closer look.  Oh boy am I thrilled . . . not!  So the breast wellness center is right downstairs from my chemo . . . how convenient.
Then home to do laundry if I'm up to it. 
I wasn't feeling my best at Mike's on the weekend.  Terrible pain in my lower back.  So much so I was crying on Sunday night.  Bill helped by messaging my back.  I had taken two, I say two, Oxycodones.  No help.  I woke up every hour to shift position and pee.  Luckily, our hotel room had two queen size beds so I moved over to the other bed so I wouldn't disturb Bill.  This continued through the weekend along with a lot of fatigue and just plain old, I don't feel good in general.
My hair is falling out in fistfulls.  At least I had hair for the summer when it's too hot to wear a wig.  I won't have to wear a wig for another month I think.
I'm so grateful I am still here though.  Even if I feel like cancer, stress and chemo have really aged me.  Thank you God for all my blessings and forgive me if I whine a bit.
One of those blessing arrived at 2:23 p.m. on 9/5/75 by the name of Michael Andrew Martin.  It's hard to imagine that today he is 37 years old.  Such a great man and a great father.  My finest achievement and honor.

Can you believe it??? My boy scout helper Mike, planted these perennial bulbs two weeks ago!  They are up and flowering already. Amazing! Oxalis.

My niece Kassie's wedding was beautiful.  She is such a pretty woman and her dress was gorgeous.  The wedding was held at the Aqua Turf Club.  Their gardens are beautiful ~ fountains, windmill, covered bridge, waterways and ponds.  Lovely.  Picture below of the Mr. and Mrs. August-Marcucio with Sammy, Kassie's son by a previous marriage.  The last four photos are from Karen Leaf Photography.
I got to see some people who came as guests of Kassie's beloved Scott's side.  Two were Tiger Cubs of mine is cub scouting.  They are young men now.  So glad to see them.
Bill returned with pictures of the grandkids.  He got to see them when he arrived on Thursday.  The boat show put on by Michael's employer Spencer boatworks was a resounding success.  Bill jokes that he was worked hard.  But I heard a lot about the great food they had afterward.  Lobsters one night and then dinner at the Red Fox another night.

Got my results from the CT Scan and the Echocardiogram.  Cancer stayed the same so I am stable.  Stable is good.  Cancer hasn't grown nor has it shrunk.  Buys me more time in this blessed world.  My heart checked out OK too.  Started 12 more weeks of chemo yesterday.  Bring it on.
I'm attending my niece, Kassie's wedding on Saturday.  Bill will be going to our son Mike's to help him with his company's boat show.  He  leaves tomorrow.
I will spend some time with my sister Sherry on Friday.  Not sure what we are doing.  I need to go to Joann's to buy some buttons for the sweater I'm making for granddaughter Sadie.
Would like to see a movie.  I'd like to see The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel.  My BFF Linda said she laughed through the whole movie.  She lived in India for five years and said the movie is a true representation.
So excited that my son, dil and grandchildren will be here on July 20th for the weekend.  Can't wait to see them.
Here is a picture of my Clematis.  And the daylilies my cousin gave me.  The daylilies are a color I haven't seen before.  She gave them to me in October of last year and they were beautiful already this season.  I have to water the gardens every day with this heat. 

The gardens are shaping up thanks to my helper Michael from Troop 3.  Bill worked very hard getting all of the stumps dug up and hauled away.  Then he enlarged the driveway too.
We went to see George M. (Cohan) at the Westchester Broadway Theatre.  It was very good.  We are going back with Bill's co-worker Polly and her husband.  We will be seeing Music Man.
We are planning Aunt Helen's 90th birthday party on Aug. 4th.  She is doing well after her surgery to amputate her left leg.
I find out my results from the CT Scan and Echocardiogram on Tuesday.  Crossing my fingers the cancer has stayed the same and not gotten larger.  I will start back the chemotherapy this week too.
Bill and I will be going to see the Derby-Shelton fireworks tomorrow night.  It should be nice.  The forecast is for clear skies. I'm hoping chemo doesn't interfere and make me not feel well.
Bill will be leaving for Mike's on Thursday.  I'm staying home.  Amy and the grandkids will be in NJ with her parents.  Saturday I will be going to my niece Kassie's wedding.
Friday will be the last day Michael N. can help me for a while.  He is going to camp on Saturday for a week and then he will be off to England for a month as an exchange scout.

Right now sister Joan is cleaning my screened in porch for me.  I am resting.  I had a terrible night.  Bad headache, backache.  I started working with Joan but I have run out of energy.
Last night Mom, Sherry and Joan came over and brought a 40th Anniversary celebration with them.  They had a Happy Anniversary mylar balloon, a bouquet of flowers and a big basket of food.  The basket itself was a pretty nifty collapsible cloth basket in my favorite color blue.  Mom had a card with $100 worth of restaurant gift cards.  They even brought a coffee cake and we all had coffee &.
I have a great family.
Bill is outside digging up stumps with a loader.  The stumps are from all the trees we lost in Tropical Storm Irene and the NorthEaster Storm.  We lost about 12 trees.  Brother-in-law Tim lent him the loader.  A guy Bill knows is coming on Monday to take all the stumps away.  Bill is taking this opportunity to expand the parking area in the driveway.
Bill is so great to me.  Last night he offered me his spare pillow.  I was up and down a lot and he would wrap me in his arms each time I came back to bed.  I apologized for waking him up.  It took an hour for the pain medication to kick in.  I still slept fitfully.  I often don't have the energy to cook so Bill either cooks or he orders something or takes me out.  He is so understanding.  I love him so much.  I'm glad we've been together for 40 years.

Today I changed the sheets and made supper early.  Bill was coming home to cut the grass right after work.  It has been a week and a day since it was cut last.  He got the back and side yard done tonight.  Tomorrow he will cut the front.  All the grass had gone to seed already.  He said he vacuumed up more grass today than he has when he is doing leaves in the fall.
Had a wonderful time with the Grandkids last weekend.  They are beautiful, sweet kids.  We played miniature golf at Pirate's Cove in Lake Placid.  We also took a boat cruise around Lake Placid.  It was an hour and a half long.  We learned so much and saw so many beautiful camps.
I'm feeling better every day because I had a week off from chemo.  We left on Thursday and didn't return until Tuesday.  I have Neupogen shots on Thurs., Fri. and Monday but couldn't have them because we were away.  Without the shots, my white cell count isn't high enough to have chemo.  But usually if there is two weeks between chemos my body gets the white cell count up on it's own.  Next week I will start chemo again to complete my 12 chemo sessions.  I have four more chemos to go before my CT scan to see if it is working.
Saturday we are taking Laurie out to dinner for taking care of Chloe while we were in NY.  Then we are going to a free concert put on by the Norwalk Community Chorale.  Saturday at 2:00 p.m. is also Kassie's Graduation Party for getting her Masters at Yale.
Next week is so exciting because I'm going to see lots of cousins at coffee night.

Julies and I finished the trim.  If I feel up to it I'm going to sew the curtains.  I bought new window panels that are the perfect color and fabric.  But they are 84" long when I only need 64".  $10 dollars a window at Christmas Tree Shop.  I also don't like the big rings stamped into the top to put it over the rod.  So I will cut the tops off and fold it over and sew a rod pocket in it.  Easy peasy.  Leslie's sons will be coming next week to do the switcheroo of the two rooms of furniture.
Tuesday I went to dinner at Panera Bread with the cousins, sisters and aunts.  It was nice to see them and catch up.  Wednesday night I went to a Red Hatters Birthday dinner at Brookside Inn.  Fabulous fun with 46 other Red Hatters. 
Cash bar, risque jokes, lots of laughs.  The food was absolutely deliscious and so many choices.  And since it was the 14th birthday of Red Hat Society, there was cake and ice cream. Yum.
Tonight I will be going to dinner at Ruby Tuesday's with Mom and Sherry.  Bill has a building officials dinner tonight.
Chloe, my little sweetie, is napping on me as I type.  She is all done with being in heat so I need to get started on finding a reasonably priced Vet to spay her.
Our next project for Julies and I will be the screened-in porch and the deck.  The outside of the house needs cleaning in the corner of the deck.  It's gotten a little green.
The screened-in porch needs all the trim painted and a good cleaning and rearranging.
Bill has plans for the weekend working on the yard some more.  With all the rain he's thinking he will be doing a whole yard mowing.  He is still working on the pond as well.  I think I will go buy him some new fish this week.  Maybe when I'm done with my shot tomorrow.  We only have three fish left.  Two of them are about three years old.  The other one is eight years old.  Last summer we had a blue heron visiting our pond and eating our fish.  Damn those birds are big.  And they are not intimidated.  You have to get right on top of them practically to get them to fly off.  I haven't seen our bunny yet this year.  I hope it survived.  We have roaming feral cats and coyotes in the area so it may have gotten eaten. 
My cardioligist problems are over.  I got a new cardiologist and he is great.  I'm starting to get tired from chemo again.  Yesterday was my fourth chemo in this series of 12 weeks.  The neupogen shots are also affecting me with bone aches and headaches.  But otherwise, I feel good.  I'm ambulatory anyway.

We spent from 11:30 a.m. Saturday until 9:45 a.m. Sunday in Stockbridge, MA.  I had such a good time.  I got to stay in the Red Lion Inn and it was great.  Pictures below.  It is so colonial, so quaint and I loved every minute of it.  Bill really treated me like a princess with flowers and cookies in the room.I got sad news today.  A 19 year old who committed suicide.  It just makes me so sad.  I'm sending up prayers for her family.  I wish young people could realize that the bad times are a small part of their life and if they perservere they will see the good times that God will bless them with.
I'm so grateful to Sherry for watching Chloe for us.  Chloe was a good girl for her.

Bill and I got back a few hours ago from a trip to Stockbridge, MA.  The purpose of our trip was to attend our friends Everett and Peggy Kinstler's work at the Norman Rockwell Museum.   Everett is famous for portrait painting (seven presidents) and was doing a demonstration at the Norman Rockwell Museum.  Peggy was doing all the background work.  Helping lug in the equipment and taking photos for finishing the portrait later.  It was fascinating how much he can get done in a half hour of studio time.  His subject (or victim as he called her) was the impetous for building the new Norman Rockwell Museum.  She is President Emeritus of the museum, knew Norman Rockwell well and an interesting woman.  Her name is Lila W. Yesterday was so productive.  Julies and I got the guest room painted with the first coat of paint.  We will put the final coat on Tuesday.  Then I only have the trim on the door and windows to do.  After all this is done, then we will start on my bedroom. That needs cleaning out and a fresh coat of paint on it too.Julies came today too.  She vacuumed the whole house.  Washed the kitchen and living room floors and gave Chloe a bath!  While Julies was doing that I cleaned out the fridge and ran the dishwasher.  Then I mopped the bathroom floor after Chloe's bath and put down clean rugs.
Now we are all ready for Sherry to come for supper tonight and for her to stay the weekend with Chloe.
I put a call into the cardiologist today.  If he doesn't call me back, I will be finding another cardiologist.  They are not proactive and I feel the five weeks off chemo waiting for them might have been detrimental to my cancer treatment and a waste of my time. It has now been two months since my visit and I have not had a cardiac MRI yet.  Nor am I scheduled for one.  The insurance approval was given two weeks ago and I've called them twice about an appt. and no one has called me back.  It's quite upsetting.
I finished the sweater I am making for Tess.  It's purple.  I just have to get the buttons for it and sew them on.  I want to make one for Sadie and Josie too.
I've also been working on and off on another afghan.
I have another headache coming on so I guess I'll go take some acetimenophen with codeine.  It helps with the backaches too.  Wish I had some Easter pics of the grandkids to post.  Oh well. 

Went for my shot this morning and then stopped at Cost Cutters to get my hairs cut. LOL.  Not enough to collectively call them hair.  The hairdresser, Noelle (isn't that a pretty name/spelling?), evened all of my head out.  (It was crooked you know).  I may even go without the wig when it gets warmer.  I met Roberta Anton while waiting for the hair cut.  She is a teacher at St. Mary's/St. Michael's school.  She also has cancer and will be starting chemo with Dr. Orell this week.  Very nice lady, very bad cancer.
I met our neighbor that is kitty-cornered from our back yard.  Her name is Kathy.  She has five children, two in college and three in high school.  It was nice to get to know her.  When I told her about Mike having 5 kids and their ages.  She said, "Oh so their in the thick of it." LOL.
Saturday I'm checking off a bucket list item.  Staying at the Red Lion Inn in Stockbridge, MA.  I've always loved that town.  I've been there many times with friends and last time with my sisters.  It's a lovely walk downtown.  Lunch at the Red Lion Inn.  And a visit to the Norman Rockwell Museum.  Norman Rockwell used Stockbridge and it's residents in many of his paintings and illustrations.
Bill and I are friends with Peggy and Everett Kinstler.  Peggy emailed me about her and our friend Gail getting together for lunch.    I suggested a day trip to Stockbridge.  Peggy emailed back, funny you should mention that.  Ev is doing a demo at the Norman Rockwell museum on the 14th.  So Bill and I decided to go up to tour the museum, attend Everett's demo and enjoy the town.  Peggy said she and Everett will make time to see us while we are there.  They are staying at the Red Lion Inn too.  I love colonial and country decor and the Red Lion Inn is chock full of it.
Sherry is coming over for dinner on Friday night to get the scoop on taking care of our Chloe.  Sherry is going to stay with Chloe for the weekend.
Julies is awesome.  Today she sanded all the spackle spots in the soon to be guest room.  Then she washed all the walls and baseboards.  Then she primed all the spackle spots and all the John Deere green oops on the ceiling and baseboards.  All in two hours!  She will be back on Thursday and paint the walls Sea Glass Green.  Then we will have all the trim to do in white (it's John Deere yellow right now).
When we are done, my wonderful cousin Leslie, has offered her two sons to come and do the furniture swap for both rooms.  I am so excited to get it done by May I hope.
Tomorrow I'm picking up four quarts of strawberries from Sybil.  Our Bake/Candy Shop friend Roy Tidmarsh over-bought for the Easter holiday.  He thought there would be more of a demand for chocolate covered strawberries than there was.  He makes yummy chocolate covered strawberries.  He gave Sybil 30 quarts! 

Well it's been a while since I posted ~ not feelin' it.  Bill and I had a quiet Easter.  Just cooked a ham and sweet potatoes with green beans for us.  We talked to Mike.  Nora, Don and Sarah were up for Easter.  The grandkids liked my Easter package filled with DVDs and "monies" as the little ones call it.  I also included some candy filled plastic animal eggs and Starburst jelly beans.  Those jelly beans are my favorite.  So fruity.
Saturday we went to Paul's house for Andrea and PJ's birthday party.  We got them a box full of games.  Checkers, Playing Cards, Monopoly, Clue, Life, The Ladybug Game, Spot It, and U-Build It Battleship.  Everyone had fun playing games the rest of the night.  I got creamed in Checkers by P.J. and Andrea won four games of The Ladybug Game.  Believe me, I was not letting them win. LOL.  How sad is that?  Beat by an 8 and 5 year old.
Thinking about missing Tyler's Eagle ceremony on Saturday.  But I'm glad I saved myself for Paul's.  I was spent when we left Paul's and didn't do much on Sunday at all.
Today after getting my shot I went to Home Depot and bought paint for the back bedroom.  That is all that's left to do before we swap rooms.  Guest room and office.  I'm going to spackle today so that Julies can paint tomorrow.
The weather has me really excited about getting outside.  I just wish this wind would die down.  We really need rain.  Both of my white and pink bleeding heart bushes are in bloom.  So is my Columbine.  Bill got all the firewood off of the screened-in porch so we can start to make that outdoor room livable.  I bought an outdoor area carpet to put in there.  That will be next after the guest room.
I had to go to bed from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.  All evening I've been suffering with a terrible headache.  I've been throwing pills at it to no avail. Hopefully, sleeping pills will help it. 

I slept late today.  When I got up Bill made me an omelet with a corned beef hash he made from last night's leftovers.  Then we had strawberry shortcake for lunch.  Ha!
We went to Costco and stocked up.  We went to Stop and Shop and got our gas.  I had spent enough to get .40 cents off per gallon.  They had a deal running where if you bought a certain 7 items you got an additional .20 cents off per gallon.  They were all things we liked so I did it.
I spent an hour weighing meats and cutting up six red, orange and yellow peppers in dice and strips and putting them in the freezer.

Breakfast was gourmet with the Easton Boy Scouts.  Bill's co-worker Diane went with us. They had three omelet stations going.  They also made aebelskivers. They are Scandinavian fruit filled pancakes.  They were delicious.  Then the usual pancakes, waffles, bacon, sausage, etc.  Breakfast lasted us til dinner time.
Diane gave us a rawhide bone that her dog didn't like.  It's a foot long and and about an inch and a half thick.  Chloe has been chewing on it ever since we gave it to her.
Supper was at the First United Methodist Church in Ansonia.  My sister Jane's church.  Jane did a lot of work for the dinner too.  She's a hard worker.  The usual corned beef boiled dinner.  An assortment of cupcakes, cakes and green jello with whipped topping were the deserts.  I just happened to pick all three of what Jane made.  A little jello, a half piece of the chocolate bundt cake, it had peppermint in it, and a vanilla cupcake with green frosting.  Mom, Paul, Sherry and Laura, Matt and Matthew were there. 
We bought some of the extra corned beef.  And Jane gave us a bag full of potatoes and cabbage.
I've been taking a half of a Zolpidem, just to help me get to sleep at night.
 

I felt good this morning.  I cleaned the kitchen.  I went grocery shopping.  I got some good deals.  For today only they were selling the rotisserie chicken for $5.50 each or two for eleven dollars.  So I got two.  I broke them down when I got home.  3 bags for the freezer of: dark parts, pulled dark pieces and sliced white meat pieces.  I held out the other sliced white meat pieces for supper tonight.  The strawberries were BOGO.  I hulled and sliced all of them.
So Bill and I had sliced white meat chicken over mashed potatoes and green beans for supper.  We had strawberry shortcake for dessert.  I made the shortcake from scratch.
Julies came today.  She vacuumed all the main rooms.  Then we moved everything from my desk and bookcase.  Cleaned it all and took pictures for sale.  We started going through Bill's desk drawers to clean and rearrange them.  I couldn't believe how many pens went dry.  We also had checks going back to 1997 - 1999.  I'm glad they don't return checks anymore.  Julies shredded them all.  So in the middle of the drawer sorting I get an attack of my whole liver area.  Man it was painful.  It's probably because I did too much.  I had to take my pain pills.  I think it scared Julies.  It sure wasn't pleasant for me.  By the time Julies left at 5:15 p.m. the pain was starting to subside.
Tomorrow we are having breakfast and dinner out.  Breakfast is in Easton.  Put on by the boy scouts.  Supper is at the First United Methodist Church with Jane, Sherry, Mom and family.  It's guess what? Corned Beef and Cabbage. LOL.

Not one single problem last night with my digestive tract.  I took a sleeping pill just to make sure I would get a good night's sleep.
We are supposed to get rain the next couple of days so I did a lovely job ~ not.  I picked up all of Chloe's crap and disposed of it before the rain gets to it.
Bill came home early since he finished up early with a building officials meeting.  His stomach is still not feeling well.  We are hanging out watching TV but I think I'm going to go take a nap.  I need  to catch up on all the sleep I've lost lately.
We have a lot coming up this weekend.

When I woke up from my nap, Bill had made supper.  Beef Stew.  Yum.

We left at noon for the bariatric doc and got back at 4:00.  My lap band was the problem, it was too tight.  He used a fleuroscope to view my esophogus and stomach.  Doc A. kept adjusting as he watched the barium go down my esophogus to my stomach.  Doc Aranow took out 1 cc of saline solution from my band.  He said there was also spasming at the top of my band so it was sending the food, etc. back up my esophogus.  I feel better already. 
So I called Dr. Orell the oncologist and told him.  He said we would wait for the cardiac results before starting chemo again.  Just the relief is good.  I feel like I could take a long nap right now.
But we have an appt. with an investment guy at 5:30 p.m. so that will have to wait.
Bill went to bed not feeling too good.  I hope he feels better in the morning.  Nobody call me tomorrow until after 10:00 a.m.  I'm hoping to get a good long rest.  I don't think I've had more than 4 hours of sleep a night all of the week.

Today was a busy day.  I had my appt. with Dr. Orell, my oncologist.  He took everything I said seriously.  He asked that I contact Dr. Aranow, the doc who did my lap band and have him see me and assess what is going on with my throwing up and my acid reflux by Friday.  This is to make sure the cancer hasn't spread to my esophogus.  I called and talked to Dr. Aranow and he is going to see me at 1:15 p.m. tomorrow.  He said he now has a Fleuroscope in his office and someone cancelled their appt.  He will check my band and probably take some saline solution out to loosen it up.  He will also check my stomach to make sure it is expanding correctly.  And he'll be able to see how things are with my esophogus.  Then we'll see if the band being too tight is causing this problem.  I also talked to the oncologist about my being off of chemo too long.  He said he will definitely think about starting me on chemo before the cardio results are back.  He understands my concerns about the cancer getting a foothold.
Then at 3:30 p.m. Julies came.  We got a lot more stuff straightened out in the office.
Joan came and picked me up at 5:30 p.m. to go to the Newtown Panera Bread.  I had soup and 1/2 a sandwich with Leslie, Wendi, Joan, Jane, Sherry, Mom, Aunt Carol and Aunt Hazel.  We had a great time chatting and catching up.  I actually managed to keep all my food down.  I ate the soup and the chicken salad out of the sandwich.  Tomorrow I can't eat or drink until after my fleuroscope at 1:15.  I'm going to be mighty hungry by then.
Leslie made a wonderful offer to have her boys come over and help move furniture for me when I'm ready to switch the office and the guest room around.  That is such a relief for me.  That will probably be in about two weeks.
My friend Linda tried to come and help take some things to My Sister's Place but she missed me.  She left a book on the porch so that's how I know she was there.  I got home about 3:15 and she had already come and gone.  I thought she was coming at 4:00 p.m.  I guess she'll catch me another day.

There is always a price to pay for having a good time for me.  Being sick yesterday continued into the night.  I'm having this liquid coming into my mouth several times a night.  This doesn't make for a very restful sleep.  I have acid reflux but this seems different.  Not an acidy taste.  More like bile.  Lots of water and something yellow.  No trace of food.  Sorry if this is TMI.  I end up propped up all night.  Throw the time change into it and I'm exhausted.  I made an appointment to see Dr. Orell tomorrow at 2:30 p.m.  I'm going to bring this up to him.  I will also have the blood work drawn for the cardiac MRI I have on Mar. 22.  While I'm there I'll also ask about whether waiting a few more weeks for the cardiac decision is wise.  Maybe I should start back on chemo anyway.
I did not cancel Julies though, just rested until she got here.  Julies put all the toys and games into the closet we cleaned out in what will be the guest room.  We are not even close to being done yet.  I need to make a trip to My Sister's Place.  It's a thrift shop that supports battered women and children.  My dining room is getting full of "stuff" to give away. 
We finished off the Chicken Marsala and green beans tonight.  Thanks Joan.  I soooo didn't feel like cooking.
Just chilling out tonite.  I hope things are better tomorrow.

Went and spent all of Sunday morning with the grandkids.  Some inside, some outside.  Eating icicles, giggling and playing.  Josie was smiling all the time.  We headed for home around 12:30 p.m.  Unfortunately, I got very sick on the way home.  I told Bill I was going to be sick.  He took the next exit and found a Burger King while I grabbed a bag off the floor of the car just in case.  It's a good thing because just as we parked ~ barf.  Then I went in and barfed some more.  I had a headache and the chills and just felt terrible.  I was feeling better when we got home about 7:00 p.m.  It was very nice of Joan to bring us chicken marsala and green beans from Matt's party.  So I didn't have to fix anything for supper.

I couldn't mention this earlier because it was a SURPRISE!  We went to visit Mike and family today.  We headed out at 7:00 a.m. to get up there with plenty of time before 2:00 p.m.  That is when the unveiling of the Chris-Craft style boat was done for the Saranac Lake Carousel.  Mike made it!  Pictures are below.  The boat is handi-cap accessible and will accomodate a wheel chair.  The carousel should be done in time to open for Memorial Day.  Mike saw our car before he came in to the carousel building so he knew we were there.  But he still was surprised we came up.  We took Chloe with us and she turned out to be a good traveler.
We went to a Lasagna dinner to benefit the Paul Smith Volunteer Fire Dept.  It was very nice.  Lasagna, salad bar, bread, drinks and dessert.   The local boy scout troop were the bus boys.  Then we went back to the house to visit with the grandkids and read bed-time stories.  I was in heaven.  Mike is on the right in picture #5.  Check out some of the animals that will be on the carousel.  They are all Adirondack Park animals.  Not revealed yet are a bobcat, otter, salamander, fox, loon, egret, meadowlark, eagle, snapping turtle, raccoon, skunk.  Carved somewhere on each is a ladybug which is fun for the kids to find.  Also there is a picture of the two parts of the carousel building.  The last picture is a view of the mountains on our way to supper.

Well so much for getting back to my post yesterday.  I got a few things taken care of today.  I called Dawn at the Ansonia Police Dept. and found out how much our police coverage cost for the Sweetheart dance this year ~ $216.  Much better than $432.  I misunderstood that Ray was saying that was the cost from last year.  Just letting us know our estimate to budget for it was off for this year.  It turns out last year was double time because the dance was on the actual holiday ~ Valentine's Day. 
Today is Bill's sister's birthday.  Happy Birthday Laurie. 
My nephew Mark stopped by with his girlfriend Rebecca this morning.  He picked up the pictures I found of him when he was 3.  I could tell when he was looking through them that he was really glad to have them.  He was especially pleased that two of them were with his Grandpa.  He made me laugh because I said, "Wasn't he so cute back then."  And Mark responded, "Well why wouldn't I be, I'm so cute now." LOL. 
Unfortunately, the fix I tried on Dale & Sybil's computer doesn't seem to have worked.  I will stop by on Monday and try again.
I stopped by and saw Joan today on my way back from the bank with Julies money.  Joan took today off from work.  She was hard at work getting ready for Matt's graduation party tomorrow.  She is expecting 43 people. 
Julies (pronounced jewels, I don't know why) and I got through half of Bill's desk top.  I will see her Monday and hopefully, we can clear the whole thing.  We have totally filled the 2 drawer lateral filing cabinet we have.
It was cloudly today but I just came in from Chloe's last trip out for doing her business and the stars were all out.  I never realized it before taking Chloe out that we are right under a commercial airline route.  Literally some nights you can see three pass by in 5 minutes.  They are at a high altitude so it's not a problem for us.
Sherry gave me five pinches off of her Christmas cactus.  I planted them yesterday and they seem to be quite happy on my windowsill.  In the center is a pinch my Aunt Carol sent to me via my cousin Barb.  That has two branches coming off of it now.  I also can't wait to see the day lilies come up that my cousin Patty gave me last year.  She said they are an interesting color.    My spider plant is blooming like crazy.
We have a flock of greckles, cowheads, red winged blackbirds at the feeder the last couple of days.  Our 15 lb feeder seems to need weekly refilling.
I'm long winded tonight.  Making up for yesterday I guess.

It's 64 degrees and gorgeous outside.  I didn't even wear a coat to take Chloe out.  I made arrangements for my blood testing today.  Slept late this morning because I was up with acid reflux again at 4:00 a.m.
Bill really likes our satellite XM radio we have in the car.  It's great when we go on trips because you don't have to worry about losing the station and finding a new one.  He especially likes the comedy station.  But our last bill said we would have to pay $105 for six months of service.  Bill was having second thoughts about renewing.   Today in the mail was the bill for XM radio and an offer from SiriusXM radio to pay $29.94 for six months.  So I called XM and asked if they would match it.  So with all the other service fees, taxes, etc. we are paying $45 for six more months of XM.  I'm patting myself on the back right now.

St. Raphael's Hospital, New Haven, called this morning and I have an appt. on Mar. 22 for the cardiac MRI.  That's good.  Not April at least.  I have to be there at 7:30 a.m ~ Ugh.  I have to have a blood test before then.  I think I'll wait now about calling Dr. O. about starting chemo again.
I'm going to stay with Aunt Helen tonight for a little while while Laurie takes Jackie to her Driving classes.  Hopefully, I helped fix their laptop.  It had a fatal error.  The laptop was still restoring when I left.  Bill has a dinner tonight so I'll be on my own. Had some pizza and antipaste with Sherry.
Didn't get to a pile of software I wanted to sort.  Some of it is old, some still valid.  There are 3 bins full.  Going to try and get it down to one bin.  Last night I bought an external 3.5" drive, on-line, so I can save some old floppies with pictures on them over to my laptop.  This is all stuff I've been meaning to do for years.  I'm glad I'm getting to it now.
OK, so Bill is right.  I'm tired today.  I took Chloe out a few minutes ago and I sat in the patio chair and let her run around on the leash on her own.  She just looked at me for a few seconds like "what is this all about?". LOL. It is a gorgeous day today.  54 degrees and sun shining.
I hope I get some pictures of Josie soon.  I asked Mike for some during our conversation last night.  Babies change so much from month to month.  I'm feeling really out of touch with my littlest granddaughter.  I miss all my grandchildren.

We did it!  Julies and I got two six foot, crammed full bookcases, into one six foot bookcase.  Yay!  Julies won't be back until Friday.  I almost wish now she was working 12 hours a week instead of 6.  She is a gem.
I did all of our laundry today, 3 loads.  I did some straightening up of the house too. 
It's great to have a good day.  No acid reflux this morning.  A little back pain from doing so much, but otherwise a good day.  Bill gets frustrated because he knows that I'll probably be "in the ditch" tomorrow because I did so much today.  But I have to take them when they come.
Talked to the cardiologist's nurse about expediting my cardiac MRI.  St. Raphael's is booked until April.  She was very understanding of my concern of being off of chemo so long.  She is going to work hard for me.  So Bill and I talked about it.  I'm going to call the oncologist tomorrow and suggest we go ahead with the chemo I've been on.  A few weeks is not going to do that much more to my heart.  I am really scared about being off of chemo and the cancer getting a foothold.  The second week of April means I would have been off of chemo 2 months, not good.  

Woke up this morning to throwing up stomach acid.  I take Nexium so it's disturbing that it is no longer working.  Just another thing to bring up to my oncologist.  I've heard of a bacteria called h pylori that could cause this.  It requires an antibiotic treatment.  Of course you have to be tested for it by endoscopy.  Crap, another test.  So I was feeling crappy most of the day.  I pulled myself together for Julies at 3:00 p.m.  We went through office clutter from 1990-1993 today.  It was an old box brought from Seymour.  We found some cool pictures of Mike being installed as Chief of the Order of the Arrow.  We also found pictures of my nephew, Mark, when he was 3.  My Dad is in some of the pictures with Mark.  So cute.  I will give them to him since I don't think he has many pictures from when he was little after his Mom died.
We talked to Mike tonight and the family is doing well.  Josie is smiling and laughing.  Sadie and Morgan are starting dance classes.  Spencer Boatworks will be installing the handi-cap accessible Adirondack boat at the new Saranac Lake Carousel on Saturday.  I can't wait to see the pictures and articles for this.

Joan came for breakfast this morning.  Bill made a nice strata and home fries and English muffins with a honey walnut cream cheese with strawberries on top.
That lasted us until we went to Jane's for supper and it was great.  We got to see Mark and Rebecca, Brian, Laura and Matt and baby Matthew.  Tim made a delicious pot roast, Jane made sweet potatoes, salad and broccoli.  I made a chocolate cake.  MMMMM.
Laurie stopped by and we had a good talk.  Shadow and Chloe made friends and had a good time too.

I've spent a good portion of my life involved in Scouting and made lots of friends.  We've camped, hiked, boated, swam, fundraised, taught, entertained and just had a good time with each other.
Today I'm going to lunch to wish well a fellow Scouter who has taken a job in Singapore.  He will be leaving the end of this month.  We decided a Hibachi grill restaurant would be fun and there is enough of us coming we can fill a table.
We will all have our cameras ready to take some good shots of us being crazy and having fun in our time with him.  Thanks to today's technology, he will only be Skype or Facebook screen away.  But we will still miss him.  I'm excited for him that he has this opportunity and I hope it turns out to be all he wants from it.
Bill took our trash to the transfer station today.  The driveway had snow on it on our regular trash pick-up day.  And as our driveway is a steep incline, neither of us wanted to risk life and limb to haul it to the curb.

Julies and I are filing, filing, filing all the bills and such we have had in boxes and stacked on desks for some time. And in the meantime decided that we could part with three garbage bags worth of paper. We have four boxes of paper and scout stuff to go to Mike's that he can use for his Pack. Another box is for Michelle who took over my Tiger Cubs for me. We are still trying to figure out how we are going to condense two six foot tall bookshelves into one bookshelf.
Bill drove me to the wake of Barbara Firkey.  She was a parishioner of our church and her daughter, Vikki was in my Sunday School classes.  Prayers going up for her and her family.

Bill and I spent most of the day watching TV and reading.  We watched some of the things we had DVRed.  Bill is almost done reading Total Control by David Balducci.  Bill has been keeping our fireplace going and it's been nice and toasty in here.
Bill did not go to the Scout Recognition Dinner today.  Just as he got up to go get ready he developed the kind of stomach problems that require staying close to the bathroom.  What a shame.  Instead of having Prime Rib he got to stay home with me and have Tilapia and Mashed Potatoes.  I tried to make something that would be easy on his stomach.
Speaking of food, I placed a PeaPod order for delivery tomorrow.  That is such a great convenience.  Thank you Stop and Shop.
Chloe loves attention and tries her best to get between you and whatever your doing that is taking the attention away from her.  When Bill kisses me goodnight I'm sitting in my recliner and Chloe jumps up in my lap and gets between us.  It's like she wants a kiss too and she is trying to lick Bill's face.  It makes Bill laugh. When I'm on my laptop, she gets fed up and gets in my lap and nudges it away.  If I'm watching too much TV she gets in my sight line.  She is so cute.
Tomorrow Julies comes again.  We decided that Julies would like it better not to have to come on weekends.  So we will do Monday, Tuesday and Fridays.  Works for me.  This coming week will be week four Julies has been working with me.
I have to say that my midsection has been very sore lately.  I've been taking my pain meds to control it.

Got up at 5:40 a.m. to go to an Eagle Watch in Haddam.  The Audibon Society there guides it.  I picked up Sherry and Mom and then met Laurie and two other ladies in our Red Hat Ladies group.  Then we went on to Waterbury to pick up my friend Linda and another Lynda in our group.  Mom, Sherry, Linda and Lynda rode in my car.  We were a cozy group since really my car only seats four comfortably.  There were three in the back seat, but nobody seemed to mind.  We got to Haddam by 8:30 a.m.  The Eagle tour took us through Haddam, Chester and Essex.  Then we had a nice lunch at Oliver's in Essex.
I think I jinxed everybody.  We didn't see any Eagles.  Just like I didn't see any Whales on the Whale Watch I went to in Mexico. 
One reason we didn't see Eagles was it was very windy.  So windy that I came home with windburn on my face and lips.  We laughed saying that the Eagles were hunkered down in a tree somewhere watching us stupid humans standing out in the wind looking for them.
I made a big boo-boo.  I made arrangements for Bill to go to the Scout Recognition Dinner at Villa Bianca.  He was supposed to be there at 4:00 p.m.  He calls me from Villa Bianca saying there was only three cars in the parking lot and was I sure it was 4:00 p.m.  So I pulled up the poster for it.  We finally figured out the dinner was tomorrow, not today.  So Bill came home and was pretty nice about it.
I was having headaches and backaches so Bill made franks and beans with green beans for supper.  Nice and simple.

Today Julies and I got the rest of the desk cleaned off and a few more boxes sorted.
We were met with an unexpected snow storm and got about 4 inches.  We were expecting rain since we are near the shore and that is what the weatherman predicted.  Silly us for believing him.
Feeling much better today.  I think it was the steroids wearing off that made me so tired.  For those of you who have had to step down off of Prednizone, you will understand.  You are not supposed to just go cold turkey off of steroids and that is what I did.  I guess my oncologist didn't really think about that.

Did some laundry today and not much else.  Julies comes tomorrow.  Resting up to work with her.  Talked to two of my sisters today.  Jane and I are playing tag with trying to get together and Sherry and I are going to an Eagle Watch on Saturday morning.  Mom is coming with us too.  We are all in a Red Hat Ladies group.  That will be all I can handle for the day so Bill will be going to the Housatonic Council Recognition Dinner by himself. 

Bill came with me to my appointment for the results of my CT scan and echocardoigram.  The CT scan showed there has been no change.  This is a good thing.  I am stable.  Dr. Orell said that the CT scan does not show whether the lesions on my liver are active cancer or dead cancer.  So things could be better.  I had to make an appt. with the cardiologist though.  Adriamycin, my chemo, can cause heart problems.  The electrocardiogram showed that the right side of my heart is not squeezing as much as it should.  Because this can just be a test hiccup, I will have more testing before we resume chemo.  If it turns out my heart is being affected, we will have to find a different chemo.
We had a nice visit with Aunt Helen.  I brought her up to date with everything going on in our family.  She really enjoyed it and was very bright and cheery today.  Just before we left though, she told me she went to Whitney Houston's funeral.  She wore a very big gold wristwatch with large numbers on it and while she was walking down the aisle in the church, someone stole it off of her.  Oh boy.  I'm sure she is projecting what she has seen on TV. 
She does love her home health aide.  She told me it's the best decision she ever made and that Jackie is very good to her.
Chloe is so cute and she is very good.   She has settled into our household well.  She's completely house trained (and so are we).  She brings us a lot of joy.  Look at those ears.
I got good news about about Elaine, Sybil's friend, she is awake and recognizes her sister.  A good sign.
Bill checked out Dale's 3rd floor apt.  The tenant left and Dale wanted to make sure the electric and heat were still working.  They are.  Bill also replaced an outlet that wasn't working.  But it turned out that it must be a problem with ground in the circuitry somewhere.  Dale is calling his electrician friend.

I went for my electrocardiogram this morning.  I had to be at the hospital by 8:00 p.m.  The woman who did my test was very nice.  I told her that the other times I've had this test that it hurt immensely when they push on my liver trying to get a shot of my heart under my rib cage.  She told me she wouldn't have to even do that for what the Dr. wants to know about my heart.  That was a relief.  She had to do a lot of manipulation on my left side though because she said my heart was laying on it's side.  Only me with this weird stuff.
Today Julies and I started the piles on my desk.  We can actually see the top of the desk!  My plan is to sell my executive desk with the matching bookcase for about $15o.00.  We paid 2 1/2 times more for them.  The desk top has always had a clear protector on the top so it is in good shape.  So is the bookcase.
Once the office is cleaned up, then we will switch the guest room back to the bigger bedroom and put the office back in the small bedroom.  That will give Mike and Amy and the kids a lot more room when they come stay here.
Tomorrow I find out how my cancer is doing.  I'm praying hard to God that there is a good outcome.  He has answered so many of my prayers already.  Bill is taking the day off to come with me.  I told him he didn't have to, but he said he really wanted to.  Besides he has a lot of time coming to him from work.  Great to have him coming with me.

Bill fitted the headboard of our bed with 3 1/2 inch risers.  I have been having a lot of trouble with acid reflux.  I had to use pillows to prop myself up to sleep.  I measured the bed and the foot was 2 inches higher than the head of the bed.   Since Bill put the risers on I've had no more trouble. Yay for Bill.
Julies came today and we really got started on the back office.  When our 2 hours were up there was more floor space than I've seen in a very long time.  The stress is lifting with every visit by Julies.  She is a really nice girl too.  AND she didn't run for the hills when I opened the door to the office.  It was a real challenge that didn't scare her off.  Kudos Julies.  God has blessed me with her.

We didn't accomplish much today.  We stayed home and did not much of anything.  At least I did start to have more energy in the afternoon and started cleaning up the kitchen. 

Tonight is our fundraiser Sweetheart Dance to benefit the Boy Scouts.  I decided to take the afghan I made for the Door Prize to set-up at 1:00 p.m. at Warsaw Park.  I am not going to the dance at all because I'm just too tired to drive at night by myself.  Bill is going to a retirement dinner for the Chief of Police in Easton.  It's at the Stone Barn in Monroe.
There are so many to thank for carrying on with the dance without me there.  Robin, Linda, Michelle, Christine, Joanne, Chuck, Theresa, Alcyne, Royce, Carole.  This is our 20th year.  Especially Brad and Flashback for playing for us for the same amount as they did 20 years ago.  And Karen of Warsaw Park for all of her help.
I'm just going to hang out at home and rest. 

Today Julies and I emptied the guest room closet.  It now covers the floor in the living room.  It seems to get worse before it gets better.  There are boxes and boxes of pictures.  Some that are 100 years old.  These are a combination of Bill's parents, Bill's grandparents and our pictures.  Bill is going through them to see what we can toss.   We are tossing those pictures with people we don't know and vacation scenery shots of vacations taken by others.  Then we are organizing them by families so we can give them to the people who will appreciate them.  It's amazing how much stuff that one closet held.
I drank the "berry smoothie" contrast starting at 6:30 a.m.    All I can say is BLECH!  That stuff is terrible.  40 oz. of it.  My CT Scan was at 8:30 a.m.  I'll find out the results on Weds.
I tried to take a nap from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. before Julies came but I was interrupted by two telemarketing calls. So much for going on donotcall.gov and registering our number. I was having weird dreams anyway.  Didn't get any REM sleep.
Bill brought home the most delicious lobster bisque that he gets at Swanson's Fish Market.  That was enough for me for dinner. A few Stacy's Pita Chips and I was good.  MMMM.

I had a little pity party today.  I was too tired to go to scouts for the final meeting before the Sweetheart Dance.  I ended up texting last minute instructions to my bff Linda.  Thanks to God for my friends.  Then when Bill came home, I was too tired to even get up and fix myself a plate of leftover pot roast and Bill did it for me.  That's when I started to cry.  I told Bill I felt like I wasn't contributing.  He comforted me and told me that was not true.  Good guy, it made me feel better.
Luckily, the task I had for Julies today was to vacuum the house for me.  That required no interaction with me.  So I just rested in my chair.  I'm hoping this fatigue lets up soon.

I got all of our laundry done, folded and put away today.  
Julies (my H.S. student) and I got the paper goods under control and all the food storage containers and trays in the pantry.  I'm feeling relieved that this is finally going to get done.  Tomorrow she is going to vacuum the whole house and we'll tackle another couple of shelves in the pantry.  Yes!
Bill brought home a lovely bouquet for me.  I made him a pot roast dinner and gave him his favorite candy, Turtles and a card.
Keeping Sybil's friend Elaine in my prayers.  Elaine is in a medically induced coma right now.  They are supposed to bring her out of the coma today or tomorrow.  I'm hoping she will be OK.
This Saturday is the Sweetheart Dance that I used to be chairperson of.  I'm hoping it will be a big success.  The boy scouts need the money for going to camp and on trips.  Unfortunately, Bill and I will be going in different directions.  Bill has a retirement dinner for the Police Chief on Saturday night.
I have so many blessings.
Speaking of blessings I got to talk to my grandchildren today.  They are growing up so fast and I am missing them like crazy.  Tess is really quite the talker now.  It was nice to hear them say Happy Valentine's Day.

More cabinet finds today.  5 Table Talk pie tins that go for $10 and a gingerbread cookie cutter for $10.  Maybe I can make enough to pay for hiring my HS student.   All the lower cabinets and drawers are done. Tomorrow we start the pantry. Oh boy, that is mostly reorganizing, not cleaning. I'm so happy I hired my HS student.
I felt like crap today.  The Neupogen is really causing bone pain in my back.  I've been taking my pain meds all day.  I also started getting a silent migraine.  An Aura of sparkly silver is visible out my left eye.  It's gone now.
My CT Scan is scheduled for Friday and my Echocardiogram is scheduled for next Tuesday.
After my shot I went to Walmart this morning.  We needed a lot of health products.  I bought Chloe 3 new toys.  One of them was destroyed by 5:00 p.m. . . sigh.
Maybe we really will skip winter this year???  Sunshine and temps above freezing. YIPPEE!
Tomorrow I don't have to go to the cancer center, yay, I can sleep in.

Attended the christening of Laura and Matt's little boy, Matthew David Frouge, Jr. today.  Matt Sr. was also baptised.  The service was lovely.  What was even better though, was getting to see all of my family.  I got some cute pics.  Although Matt, Jr. doesn't look too happy here, he was an angel most of the time.  He, like a lot of babies, has hat issues.  He didn't appreciate the cute matching christening suit hat that we attempted to make him wear.  It was so nice having a baby fall asleep in my arms.  It makes me wish my grandchildren lived closer.  My brother Paul's children are growing up so fast.
Being at the christening made me very tired.  I took a nap from 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.  Bill made breakfast for supper.  A very yummy cheese omelet with sausage and English muffin.  MMMM.  He is so good to me.
